Our classes are strictly following Covid Safe protocols as set out by the Martial Arts Industry Association which includes exclusion of any unwell students and instructors from classes, temperature testing, frequent use of hand sanitiser, cleaning of equipment before and after use with restrictions and restrictions on partner work. Everyone takes part in these procedures and it has become a normal part of our classes.
We will concentrate on another grading at the end of this term and also practising for our new free performance of martial arts, lion dance and dragon dance on 5th and 6th September in the Canberra CBD and Braddon. ROAR for CANBERRA is a good luck blessing for all Canberrans and can be enjoyed in person on a limited bases and on live stream. It is part of the Where You Are Festival by Rise Canberra and proudly supported by the ACT Government. You can find our more information here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1360898524301801/ We've ramped up measures recently to prevent the tranmission of disease including viruses recently in class including the use of hand sanitiser at the start and end of each class and wiping down all equipment with antiseptic wipes are each class. We also stop anyone who has been overseas in the last 14 days from coming to class. All students have been enthusiastic in doing this and we have had no student being suspected of carrying the novel coronavirus. However as a medical doctor I've taken the decision to suspend all our face to face classes for the time being considering the transmission of the novel coronavirus in Australia is predicted to exponentially rise in the next 2 weeks.
The safety of all our students and their families is paramount. Luckily we still have online content as part of our course and plenty of ongoing online teaching will be coming in the next few weeks. Thanks for your patience in understanding this situation. Regards Dr Wilson Lo |
