On 9 January 2016 the school held a closed door grading for senior Blue Sash students. This was a difficult grading consisting of assignments, assessments on teaching, a physical test, oral test and written test. Everyone should be congratulated for attempting the grading in order to qualify as instructors of the school. Only two students passed - the highest score was awarded to Marek Leszczynski who will shortly finish up at our academy after almost 10 years in order to pursue his university studies interstate. Congratulations to Jeremy Le who also made the cut. They are now both awarded Junior Purple Sash Lion and also the title of Sihing, which means older brother.
Our outstanding December students were Sarah Gan who achieved the highest score in the Term 4 gradings and also Tyson Baker. Tyson prepared to sit for two gradings at once but had to withdraw due to illness. Despite being unable to participate he still bravely attended the grading to support those who were able to sit it.
