Callum Sharrock - Senior White Sash Dragon

Today was also the last day of our classes for 2015!  Over the school holidays our Blue Sashes will attempt their gradings so wish them luck!  Our regular classes will begin on Monday 1st February 2016.  Some big events coming up will be demonstrations at Westfield Woden on Saturday 13th February and in Civic for the National Multicultural Festival on Sunday 14th February.  We will also have an information stall at the Festival in the Chinese Quarter at Petrie Plaza.  

A few times a year students who are ready to be promoted to the next level are required to attempt a grading.  Gradings are formal events and require a lot of preparation and study by the students.  Written assignments and online courses need to be completed before grading day and the day itself consists of physical, written and sometimes oral tests.  Congratulations to the following students who passed the grading last Monday and are now promoted to the next level:

Sarah Gan - Senior Yellow Sash Dragon with Honours
Jesse Lo - Senior Yellow Sash Dragon with Honours
Asher Lee - Junior Yellow Sash Dragon

Many thanks to the other students who helped run the grading and to the junior instructors who marked the physical components.

This year Sisook Blair Singh has again claimed the top prize of the Three Virtues Award.  He has also just returned from overseas and is continuing to work towards becoming a senior instructor.  Laura Zhang has claimed the inaugural Wolf Pack award with a perfect attendance rate and completing some extra theory study.  Congratulations to Sisook Blair and Laura!
